About Mary
Shaped by decades of public service, I’m running for State Representative to restore balance and accountability to Oregon’s 37th District. After earning dual degrees from Portland State University, I spent 23 years serving Oregonians—most recently as a Senior Policy Analyst. My leadership spans human trafficking advisory panels, the Tualatin Budget Committee, and a nonprofit board supporting foster youth. I volunteered for 15 years at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility and am a certified Master Gardener. I met my husband on a mission trip to Cambodia, and together we explore the world with our children, nurturing curiosity and compassion. My campaign is rooted in service, faith, and a deep commitment to a better Oregon.

Public Safety & Victims’ Rights
Families deserve to feel safe in their homes, neighborhoods, and communities. I will support law enforcement, strengthen consequences for repeat offenders, and fight for policies that put victims first. I believe Oregon needs accountability and appropriate remedies to address crime, addiction, and hazards on our streets.

Accountability & Lower Taxes
Government should serve people—not burden them. I will fight to rein in wasteful spending, demand transparency for every tax dollar, and pursue meaningful tax relief. My own family felt the squeeze of record-high taxes in 2024, and I know Oregon families need relief now.

Education & Parental Involvement
Our students deserve better outcomes, stronger attendance, and higher standards. I will push for curriculum transparency, increased parental involvement, and a renewed focus on foundational learning. We must prioritize student success above politics.

Economic Growth & Cost of Living
The cost of living and doing business in Oregon has become unsustainable. I will champion tax relief, and support for small businesses so Oregon can become a place where companies stop leaving and start choosing again. A strong economy begins with empowering the people who drive it.
